Walter Brooks Bradley established the Bradley Funeral Home, P.A. in 1947 after returning from military service in WWII.

During his military career, Mr. Bradley was involved in the development of cemeteries for soldiers who died in combat during the war in the European theater. Upon return from duty, He married Virginia Lloyd Bradley, where they established the funeral home as it stands today in the Dundalk Community of Baltimore County. Upon Mr. Bradley’s death in 1984, Mrs. Virginia Bradley, as a licensed funeral director herself, operated the business until 1989 when she opted to retire. At that time, she sold the business to Peter Sterling Ashton.

Our funeral home ownership and its staff is dedicated in providing to the public a place that offers warmth and compassion, a hallmark of professional service and an economic structure that affords quality funeral care to all of the families that we serve.

Mr. Ashton is a member of the National Funeral Director Association, the Maryland State Funeral Director Association, the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam Veteran’s of America, VFW, and St. Rita’s Catholic School Board. Both Mr. Ashton & Ms. Kehl are members of the Dundalk Moose Lodge.
